 Dental Implant

A dental implant is a threaded ‘root’ usually made of surgically pure titanium which is inserted into the jaw to replace a missing tooth. Once integrated into the jawbone, dental implants can help provide support for individual crowns, bridges or for the stabilisation of loose dentures.
A dental implant can support one or more false teeth whilst several implants can be used to support an entire mouth of missing teeth.
Most people are suitable patients for dental implants provided they are in good health and have adequate bone. Your dentist may require an X-ray or a CT-scan to determine whether your bone levels are suitable for a dental implant. Even in levels where there are inadequate bone levels, grafting procedures using bone or bone substitutes can be utilised to provide suitable support for dental implants.
Dental implant procedure will usually be carried out under local anaesthetic by a dentist qualified to carry out the placing of dental implants without the need to visit a hospital for the treatment.
As a treatment option, dental implants are long lasting, durable and a good option for replacing missing teeth. Although they have been proven to be clinically successful and have been in use for over 40 years, the demand for cosmetic dentistry has made them increasingly popular in recent years.
Dental Implants can form an important part of a tailored cosmetic dentistry treatment plan for patients who need to consider the replacement of missing teeth but prefer not to have to wear a denture.

Stages of Treatment for Invisible Aligners

Consultation

Your treatment plan will begin with a consultation with our Clear Correct accredited dentist who will assess your case and discuss your treatment option with you.

This will also allow you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about Clear Correct treatment and planning with your dentist and clinical team.

Your Personalised Treatment Plan

You will be provided with a detailed treatment plan outlining how each of your clear and custom made aligners will change throughout your treatment program. Your treatment will require you to progress to a new set of aligners every few weeks. Each set of aligners will gradually and gently move and reposition your teeth and at the end of each period, you will “graduate” to a new set of custom made aligners. Your progress will be monitored by your dentist throughout your treatment and the aim will be to achieve a lovely straight smile

Creating Your New Clear Correct Smile

Your straightened teeth and new smile may take up to one year to achieve although this will vary from one individual to another. However, the Clear Correct treatment program will allow you numerous many benefits and advantages over the traditional metal braces treatment affording you as a patient, a large degree of control on a day to day basis with the support and back up of your dentist and clinical team when you require it.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening involves bleaching your teeth to make them lighter, it can't make your teeth perfect white, but it can make the existing colour brighter by several shades.

The dentist will take an impression of your teeth to make a whitening tray and will educate you on how to correctly use it with bleaching gel.

Whitening usually takes between 2-4 weeks
